I am homeless

If you are already homeless, the Housing Solutions Service can provide you with advice and support. Depending on your circumstances, you may also be placed into Temporary Accommodation whilst they investigate your situation.

Young people under the age of 18 will be referred to social care services in order to assess their specific needs and requirements. Torfaen Young People's Services (TYPSS) can offer help and support for young people aged 16 and 17.

All such assessments for housing are carried out in line with current housing legislation as set out by the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 and Homelessness Act 2002.

Even if the Housing Solutions Service is unable to assist you with temporary accommodation, they will be able to advise you about emergency accommodation and the other housing options available to you.
