Torfaen County Borough Council’s Housing Department has a dedicated financial inclusion service as part of the Council’s Housing Solutions’ frontline services. The service is free of charge to eligible clients living in Torfaen who find themselves in financial difficulty across all tenure. The team work closely with the Council’s Benefits Department, local Housing Associations, the Department for Work and Pensions, Social Services and other Support / Advice Agencies to support clients address their financial difficulties and prevent them from losing their home.

How can the Financial Inclusion Service help?
The Financial Inclusion Service will help you to identify ways in which you can increase your income and reduce your outgoings, enabling you to manage money more efficiently.
The Financial Inclusion service can:
- provide you with independent and confidential information and advice
- help you find out what benefits you are entitled to and help you apply for them
- provide budgeting and money advice
